Q: How long have you been on Gaastra / Tabou team?
A, I been with Gaastra all my life, since my very first steps into the windsurf world. They are the only wings I trust on the water :-)
Q: Your favorite set up of equipment?
A- For freestyle, I like flat water conditions with the Echo LE 4.8 sail. For wave, I like the 4.4 Echo.LE
Q: Why did you start windsurfing?
A- I tried it once, and fell in love with it.. In the end, it become like a game to me! What could I do without falling in the water…? -I did not realize that it could bring me to this life...
Q: Your home spot?
A- My home spot is Bonaire. I sail in the big baby pool named “Sorobon”. It is a nice spot for freestyle. Flat water and nice wind allmost everyday.. It is 15 minutes from where I live, and the spot has given me all the skills that I have...
Q: Your favourite spot?
A- My favourite spot after Bonaire, is the Canary Islands, first –Fuerteventura, followed by Pozo ...
Q: What are the most played songs on your I-pod?
A- Rap, R n’B, Rock, Hip Hop -Artists like Linking Park, Offspring, Lil Wayne, Drake, Blink182, Maino, Young Money etc..
Q: What would you be doing right now if you were not talking to me?
A- I would be talking to friends or thinking about new manouvers for the future. Organizing my flights for the next trip I will do…
Q: If you were to describe yourself, how would you do that?
A- I love to have fun!! –I´m very laid back and I´m always smiling.. I like to go sailing and the kick of adrenaline I get from competing is the best.
Q: How did you prepare for the coming season and where did you go?
A- I have been home since I got back from SYLT(last event of 2009). I did not go anywhere during the winter. I prepare myself for each next event very carefully. This year, I want to take part in more events. I will show up at some wave competitions this year, but my main focus will be the freestyle events. My main goal is to become a World Champion in Freestyle.
Q: Is there a place where you haven't been windsurfing yet, that you would like to visit?
A: Yep, I would like to sail in Egypt and South Africa ...
Q: What is your main goal for this season?
A- Freestyle World Champion and to make it to top 10 in wave.
Q: You will be at the Waterz multi-water-sport event in Denmark this year, where the slogan is "Powered by Nature". What do you expect from this event?
A- I don't want to ask too much but, I would like sick wind conditions with some sunshine. Hopefully a sick night live and a lot of girls ;-)
Q: Will this be your first time in Denmark?
A- Yes! I can´t wait to get there!! I HOPE IT WILL BE SUNNY..! I have heard it´s very cold, but it can be windy too... –and that is for me very interesting...
Q: Where are you off to now?
A- I am going to Lanzarote on the 24th June, and then I am off to Pozo for the Wave event. After Pozo next stop will be Fuerteventura before I go back to Bonaire. In the autumn, I am heading for the event in Denmark. It will be my first time, so I can´t wait to get there!
Q: Anything you would like to add?
A: Just hopefully strong wind and a lot people for the action that will be going on during the event ...
